Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely, bring her along. Group pricing is based on double occupancy (two travelers sharing a room). If you’d rather have your own room, there’s a single supplement fee, just let me know what works best for you.

Do I have to pay the full trip cost upfront?

No. Trips are booked with a deposit to secure your spot, followed by a payment schedule leading up to your departure, similar to how most group tours and cruises work. The exact deposit amount and payment dates are confirmed once you’re ready to book and will be laid out clearly in writing before you pay anything.

Do I need a visa to visit South Korea?

U.S. passport holders can travel to South Korea for tourism without a visa for short stays (currently under 90 days). That said, entry requirements can change, so always double check directly with the Korean government or Korean Embassy before you travel, not just from us.

What about my passport?

Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. If you’re not sure how much time is left on yours, now’s a good time to check, not the week before departure.

What should I pack?

This depends on the season and the specific trip (more details come closer to departure), but generally: comfortable walking shoes (you’ll be on your feet a lot), a portable charger, an outlet adapter for South Korea, and layers, weather can shift fast depending on the time of year.

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend it, trip cancellation, interruption, medical coverage, and emergency evacuation are all things you genuinely want covered. It’s your choice whether to purchase it, but if you decline, you’re taking on full responsibility for anything that comes up, lost deposits, medical costs, cancellations, all of it. We’ll ask you to confirm your decision in writing either way.

What’s the difference between the Terms & Conditions on your website and what I’ll actually sign?

What’s on the website is the general overview, host agency info, planning fee structure, the basics. Once you’re ready to book, you’ll receive the full agreement to review and sign, that’s the one that covers things like cancellation specifics, conduct expectations, and the full legal details.

How do planning fees work?

Planning fees cover the research, sourcing, and itinerary design that goes into building your trip. They’re paid upfront and are non-refundable, since they’re compensation for the work itself, separate from your actual trip cost.

How can I reach you, and when?

Email is the best way to reach me with questions or anything you need help with. I’m available Monday through Thursday, 10am to 4pm Eastern. And once you’re actually on the trip, you’re not on your own, I’m there with you the whole time, so you’re never trying to track down a stranger if something comes up.
